#1 – While sleeping, keep the shoulder above the level of the heart.You can keep a pillow under your elbow to keep the painful shoulder above the level of heart.

#2 – Put Ice packs over the painful area for about 20 minutes, around eight times a day.

#3 – For pain relief you can apply any local pain relieving ointment twice or thrice a day, Avoidmassaging the area vigorously.You can also take paracetamol tablets(if you have allergic reactions to such medicines or other medical conditions, ask your doctor before using them).

#4 -One simple thing that can provide instant relief is a shower (or, a hot-water bath).However, it may not be feasible to take frequent baths in a day. In such cases, it is advisable to apply moist heat in the affected portion.

#5 – The best treatment for minor shoulder injuries is rest. The more you rest your muscles, the better you get.
